It originated several thousand years ago in China. Today, it is popular
in Korea, China, and Japan. The game is called 'Baduk' in Korea, 'WeiQi'
in China, and 'Igo' in Japan.
Basel Go players currently meet in every Monday 7.30 pm in "Stube", Erlenstrasse 5, via Tram 14 or Bus 30 (Musical Theater). For more information, you can call Mark Wirdnam (+41 78 930 4685).
